Tamara Wellons is coming into town this Thursday 20 August for the second Out Of This World night put together by our friends at restless soul.
Tamara is of course the voice behind ‘Like Rain’, ‘Oh Well’ and ‘Out of this World’ (which is where this new night got its name).

Tamara has collaborated with the likes of Osunlade, Carlos Mena, Nomumbah and Jihad Muhammad. And if you haven’t already heard this, its a free download from our boy Bopstar featuring a heap of Tamara’s music, as she tells all – how she first hooked up with Osunlade, visiting South Africa, love and heartbreak, advice for anyone trying to come through… all the usual stuff, and then some! Just under half an hour. A real treat!

We’re offering our list a pair of free passes for next Thursday, for the first couple of people to hit us back! And if you don’t get the free passes we can still offer you concession list. please email info@soulsanctuaryuk.com for those free tickets – the runners up get placed on the £5 concessions list.
Tamara Wellons will be supported by Kaidi Tatham on keys, and restless soul’s Jose Carretas and Bopstar on the decks.
As Shook magazine put it, “if you missed the first night, where Bopstar performed live with Zara McFarlane, you missed out. The venue was buzzing when Zara stepped up to the stage, supported by Baby Sol on BVs as well as live upright bass from Karl Rasheed-Abel and drums from Richard Spaven. You aint never seen a house P.A. pulled off with such style and grace. ‘Captured’, ‘Desire’ and ‘Chiaroscuro’ got the live treatment, reworked for a joyful and musically-affirming one-off performance. On the decks for the rest of the night, Bopstar and Jose Carretas had the crowd in the palm of their hand…”
That about says it really. Roll on Thursday…
